Welcome to the Official Jason Anker Website

Jason Anker works as a motivational and behavioural safety speaker.  Having been in a major accident many years ago on a building site, Jason speaks on the emotional perspective of why Health and Safety is not just about ticking boxes.

His audience walk away from his talk engaged with the process of health and safety because they have witnessed first hand the effect of getting it wrong.  Jason works with many major Blue Chip companies who have seen the benefit of not just telling staff and contractors what to do, but showing them what the personal effect could be by ignoring Health and Safety guidelines.

Jason is equally at home presenting to a large group of workers or talking to senior project managers.  The thrust of Jason’s story cannot be underestimated.  Increasingly tenders are looking at the Behavioural Safety Training as well as the standard H&S training your company undertakes; this is because it reduces accidents and saves lives.

Operating UK wide, Jason will visit your site for either group sessions directly relating to Health and Safety, for motivational speaking (what ever your industry) or for one to one consultation.  Whilst Jason’s story is in itself engaging and thought provoking, if you have a specific training requirement a quick chat with Jason can normally lead to it being incorporated into his presentation.

Behavioural Workshop

Jason is the reason why Health and Safety in the work place is important. All workers receive the standard compulsory briefing where they are told what to do, what not to do, what to wear, what not to where, where to go and where not to go. What this briefing often doesn’t achieve is getting through the reason why to heed these rules.

Keynote Speaker

Jason’s story is really about being at rock bottom, having the determination to pick yourself up, change direction in life and then trying to make a difference to others. Jason is a regular speaker at functions and after dinner events where he talks about his story, from the evening before the accident, the accident itself, the subsequent rehabilitation and his attempts to put his shattered life back together.

Testimonials

  • The presentation he does is very well thought through and evocative and it was a genuine honour to be part of it. The entire depot was talking about it, and a few people who's arms were maybe twisted a little to attend, came up to Jason to thank him, and came to me to say it was the best safety brief they'd ever had. Two guys who stated they do a few things unsafely have come to me and discussed additional safety measures which we have agreed - so if that's the only thing that comes from it, its still been well worth it!
Thank you for helping sort this out

  • I think I speak for all the team who attended the talk by Jason Anker at Doncaster yesterday Wed 31/08/11 most of who have no access to e-mail In short it was the most thought provoking , real life, shocking story of how life can be affected by injury or accident caused at work,or even at home.He shared with us the most intimate and private areas of his life in such a way that the whole group had difficulty beleiving how much the accident had changed his life - and yet he still managed to throw in a bit of humour.I would encourage anyone to go along and listen to his tragic story - because no one can listen and not be affected by it.

  • I just want record my thanks to for a most thought provoking presentation. There has been nothing but positive feedback from those in the audience regarding how your story impacted on them. It clearly hit the mark and has got them ‘talking and thinking’ about the reality of workplace accidents. Thank you again.

  • I attended Your talk at the FTX logistics conference and found you the best work related speaker I have ever heard and i am sure i am not alone in thinking this, as your name was brought up in loads of conversation thouought the day and even on the bus home . I am leading a team competing in the Nijmegan marches for the A.B.F, the soldiers charity and would like to use you as a example of what could happen and that we would get support from the A.B.F., so we should support them. Thanks again for the talk and good luck in the future you really touched ME, which doesn't happen often.

    Cheers

  • I’m still humbled to have had the opportunity to listen to Jason’s tragic life storey to date. I have spoken to all of my guys since, and they all felt the same way. I know that they have already spoken to some of their fellow workers about how they felt afterwards and that they feel sure that they will, be more safety aware!

  • Hi Jason. I attended your talk today at West Burton CCGT power station. I want to thank you personally, not as a company for your talk. It wasn’t in vain, because you got your message through to me, if nobody else. But I would imagine you reached everybody in the room. What an impact you have, your deliverance is amazing. To talk how you do after what you’ve been through must take some balls. And I know you’re doing it for ‘us’, not for yourself. I consider myself to be a safe worker, after serving years down coal mines, before joining the construction industry, but I will definitely take those extra seconds to look at my job and make sure I’m being as safe as possible after hearing you.

If YOU can’t inspire men to go that bit extra for their own safety and that of their work mates, then I honestly don’t know who can.
Thanks again Jason. I wish you all the best for your future and your family’s future. I realise it’s not just about you, but all the many many people that are affected when a serious incident occours.
Thanks again mate!! From Tim Hardy.

  • I just wanted to thank you for your talk today.  It was emotional but extremely eye opening and your frankness was amazing.  I wish you every success in the future.  I have been to many H&S events, talks etc, but yours was by far the most hard hitting and memorable.  Thanks again

  • However there is no doubt that Jason's efforts were not and will not be in vane as on the very next day, we Ross Consulting were faced with an event in which the planned safe working solution involving Banksman Attendance was torpedoed. In this your presentation rang out loud and clear, resulting in alternative arrangements being established before one further step was taken.

  • The prize for us all though is the memory of Jason’s story, because it will make us stop and think before we put ourselves at risk when working at height.

  • I have only met a few people who can truly mesmerise an audience with the power of their words, there are fewer who are dedicated to challenging the norm, there are fewer still that have experienced the devastating effects of an accident and have the passion to influence others so that they don’t suffer the same fate...

Jason Anker is all of the above and so much more. People listen to Jason and literally change their own unique model of the world.”

  • "Jason’s story brings home the reasons why people need a good understanding of health and safety in the workplace. The injuries he sustained didn’t just shatter his career, they ruined his life for many years"

  • "Jason delivers a raw and emotional presentation that truly delves into the horror of a work place accident and ALL of the consequences
As a safety professional I can tell you stories about what I have seen, when it comes from Jason there is no doubt and no misinterpretation
Jason’s accident destroyed his life and the lives of those around him. It is a testament to his tremendous courage that he is now able to share this with his audience
I would not hesitate to use him again, as a motivational speaker he is unparalleled, he shows that with enough belief almost anything is possible
